The way in which individuals are depicted in photojournalistic images significantly influences our perception of them. The consequences of these depictions can have far-reaching effects on our attitudes towards these individuals. Previously, your adult son or daughter, who already faced marginalization, may have elicited sympathy from others. However, now, branded as a 'Targeted Individual', your child has become a subject of ridicule.
