soft dreams
compared to the ones they ran on him, Evan thought, studying the Copy for Cole's "warning' dream

fear,
 got the  hippocampus buzzing

 the lizard blood flowing

the initiation  dream was a vampire bite
a deep mouth kiss
Evan could care less if
Cole wrote shit about The New Way
Evan hated what it had become had become since it focused soley on the technology ,fuckin Dome
In the booth he had made a show of putting on his headset and adjustment

but decided to get a wee bit more personal with Cole.

old school interface.
the way he was taught
bareback.
no headset

Cole would have parts of his brain open to experiences and feelings people would die for
if he didn't
go mad
or die

Whatever his father put into the New Way was being taken over by a bunch of money, movie stars and prestige grabbers

everything his father hated.
The Rainy Method was about" Becoming" At a  cellular, mystical level
not fucking fMRI readings and auditory frequency

Parasol Productions indeed

.
Every interface was recorded
everything was Dome's business.Collections
this wasn't what The Process was meant for.
He turned the machinery on .made sure some people saw him fiddle with some knobs.
He'd say it was a faulty read if anyone asked.
he wanted some privacy with Cole.

Sure He'd wake him up with the "introduction to Dome " shit
but he'd introduce it as the nightmare it really was...

maybe Cole could help him make The New Way The Old Way
a few deep breaths
fingers to temple
a visualization of a reflective surface
a color
...
Cole
likes.
blue.

80 shades of blue appeared like a paint chart in Evan's mind
he needed to "ask" Cole
what shades he prefered
the back of Evan's neck throbbed
his temples were tight
an image of "Coleness"
5o shades of blue
he couldn't be sure yet if it was he or Cole dismissing the hues
there were 'things' in Cole that made it easy to connect with the headset but seemed to be making it more difficult without the technology
down to 30 shades of blue
and he was in
